This year's La Morena micro-lot was produced by twenty-three female farmers from a farm in Huehuetenango.
ABOUT THE REGION
Huehuetenango is a city in west-central Guatemala. The city is located on the southern slopes of the Cuchumatanes Mountains, which are the highest mountains in the country. The name Huehuetenango means “Place of the Ancients,” and near ruins of an ancient Maya center called Zaculeu. Huehuetenango is one of the larger commercial centers in west-central Guatemala. The city has a population of just under 60,000 and is approximately 170 miles away from Guatemala City.
WHO SHOULD DRINK THIS COFFEE?
Although this roast is heavy it’s low acidity means it can be enjoyed by most coffee drinkers.
