ABOUT THIS COFFEE
This washed, strictly high grown coffee comes from smallholder farmers in the Jinotega department of Nicaragua. Coffee cherries were hand-picked, wet-milled, and fermented by the individual producers. Afterward, the coffee was taken to a central location to be dry milled in order to guarantee uniformity of quality and flavor.
ABOUT THE REGION
Jinotega is the largest coffee region in Nicaragua. Altitudes in Jinotega range from 800 -1500 masl. The diverse micro-climates in the region present ideal growing conditions for varietals such as Caturra, Red Catuai, Bourbon, Pacamara, Parainema, and more.
